Horse Experiences are required before Cedar Ridge trail rides. Our horses are "real" horses, not "nose to butt" trail horses that do nothing else. Therefore, you need to learn to "push their buttons" - stop, turn in a fashion that is comfortable for both you and the horse. Horse Experiences can also be for people of any age who want to learn to catch, groom and saddle their own horse, and ride under control.
This is a great opportunity for people who have had a bad experience or want to get back into riding. There is an instructor for each horse when riders are just starting out. If you enjoy your Horse Experience, you might want to "hit the trails" or take lessons in a variety of disciplines including speed, western, or hunt seat.
